### Arrange the letters

Place the alphabets A to I into the 3 x 3 box. E is to the right of C. A is to the right of G which is above B, which is to the left of F. I is above D which is to the left of G.

In case it isn't clear, your solution should look like:
A B C
D E F
G H I

But, of course, not in that order.

I,C,E
D,G,A
H,B,F

2. If you intentionally misread the rules (does "to the left of" imply that they are in the same row?), then

C - G - F
B - I - E
D - H - A

works. In fact, I think there are a couple of hundred solutions if you ignore the rules

3. I assumed that 'to the left of' meant within the same row and came up with the same answer as karnov.

I agree with you jonathan. If you 'ignore' the rules, you end up with way too many possible solutions.
