Who Keeps Losing All of These Numbers Anyways?

What numbers are missing in the parentheses?
98 (33) 79
23 (...) 55

12 (26) 13
11 (...) 6

125 (21) 20
70 (...) 35

  1. Hmmm, I'm guessing the first one would be
    23 (15) 55

    Because:

    9 + 8 + 7 + 9 = 33

    98 (33) 79

  2. Oops, forgot to include something else.

    2 + 3 + 5 + 5 = 15

    23 (15) 55

  3. The first one is 15, when you add all the singles together, as GandalfGecko points out.

The second one is 11. Multiply the numbers outside the parentheses and divide by six.

The third one is 7. Subtract the numbers outside the parentheses and divide the difference by 5.
