  2. Isn't a chamois something you wash the car with?

I vote for impala, it's the only thing you can't wash the car with.....that gerbil will never be the same again *sob*

  3. chamois...you can get those at Walmart...in the car care department. I don't think you can buy an impala there. Or a gerbil.

  4. Tiercel, a falcon, all of the others are ground-dwelling creatures

  5. I choose Chamois,
as all the others are types of cars.

  6. i choose Jerboa lol ^_^

  7. Chamois... all the other animals can be found in desert habitats.

  8. Tiercel - it's the only one that can fly :)

  9. I'm laughing too hard about drying the car with a gerbil (sproglet-Nice visual) to be singularly focused on finding an answer... the guffaw made my day!

  11. so i am going to guess that a gerbil is an economy car, while the fennec is a spastic roadster.

i would say tiercel, b/c it refers specifically to a male falcon.

  12. Impala, as it is the only animal on the list worth eating.

  13. Tiercel would be my guess because of feathers.

  14. Tiercel, all others are mammals.

  15. I say it is a tiercel because it is the only animal that is not a mammal.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Its it the tiercel because its the only thing thats not a land creature?

  17. I haven't even heard of most those animals... Should I have? lol Tiercel? hmm.

  18. Hey! This blog is awesome! I say Chamois (its a type of cloth, the others aren't). And if you like this one, please come check out our blog at www.pocketknowledge.blogspot.com. We're a newly minted blog looking for support, comments, followers, anything! Thanks!

  19. Impala. Just because it's a cool name.

  20. Tiercel. Has feathers.

  21. Have to go with the Tiercel myself. Everything else has a match on basic type of animal (2 rodent, 2 goat-like, 2 with vehicles named after them. Tiercel is the one with nothing to pair it with.

  22. Tiercel is the only bird on the list

  23. I say Impala, cause i rode in one yesterday!

  24. The Tiercel. From what I gather a Tiercel is a male Falcon. Seeing as the others are all land-based animals, the Tiercel is the only one capable of flying.

  25. Hello all! Today's answer is Tiercel since it's a bird while the others are all land based animals.

At least, that's what I was going for. A lot of you came up with good answers for the other animals.

  26. Crud, how dumb am I? I only recognized one of those choices as an animal.

An Impala's a car, dammit! Heh, and maybe a "tiercel" too...

  27. Gerbil: it's the only one i've heard of

    ReplyDelete
  28. Fennec

The others end in vowels or soft consonants.

    Fennec has a hard stop.

  29. Tiercel
its the only bird in that list!

  30. Gerbil.
It's the only one I've ever heard of.

  31. First guess is impala, but I hate commitment.

  32. for anyone who thinks a chamois is a rag, look up rupicapra rupicapra which is the latin name for the boviid native to the european mountain ranges. the correct answer is tiercel

    ReplyDelete
  33. Chamois: an agile, goatlike antelope, Rupicapra rupicapra, of high mountains of Europe: now rare in some areas

Impala: an African antelope, Aepyceros melampus, the male of which has ringed, lyre-shaped horns.

Fennec: a small, pale yellowish-brown fox, Fennecus zerda, of northern Africa, having large, pointed ears.

Gerbil: any of numerous small burrowing rodents of the genus Gerbillus and related genera, of Asia, Africa, and southern Russia, having long hind legs used for jumping.

Jerboa: any of various mouselike rodents of North Africa and Asia, as of the genera Jaculus and Dipus, with long hind legs used for jumping.

Tiercel: the male of a hawk, esp. of a gyrfalcon or peregrine.

The answer, therefore, is Tiercel as this is the only animal on the list that has feathers, a beak, and flies. The rest and land dwelling mammals.

  34. Great to see all the different perspectives on this question! I saw the Tiercel thing, but thought you were getting at the fact that Impala is the only one that starts with a vowel.

  35. gerbil, cause its the only one ive heard of... why does everyone know so much about these animals with such weird names?
