What Word Added

What one word, added to each initial letter, forms other words?

I suppose there could be more than one answer to this question, but I only know one.

  3. I've heard a "gat" is short for a gatling gun...but I could be wrong.

  5. Although I've never heard the word 'gat' before, I think it's acceptable.

    Another answer would be row: crow, throw, grow, prow, and brow.
