From a Certain Point of View

What must you do to make the equation below true?

81 X 9 = 801


  1. 81*10-9=801

  2. If you look at it upside down and backwards, then it reads
    108=18*6, which is a true statement

  3. If you flip it over, you get 108 = 18*6.

    Although, technically, I didn't put any limits on what you could change, so the first answer is true, too. ;-)

  4. So then you can also put a line through the '=' making it not equal to and it is still techically true.
