Last and hardest Series

1) 18, 14, 12, 11, ?, 10.25

2) 11, 12, 26, 79, 81, 163, 491, 492, ?

  1. 1) 10.5. You divide the number shown by 2 and then add 5 for each step in the sequence.

2)986. The sequence goes multiply by 1 and then add 1, multiply by 2 and then add 2, multiply by 3 and add 1, multiply by 1 and add 2, multiply by 2 and add 1, multiply by 3 and add 2, and then the sequence repeats.

As I said, this was the hardest series.
