What time is it?

You are stuck in a room with two doors. The first door leads to a room with a magnifying glass that will use the suns rays to fry you into cinders the moment you walk into it. The second door has a dragon who will flame you to death the moment you open the door.

How do you escape?

And more importantly, how did you get stuck in a room like that anyways? :-)

  1. A sun clock would have the last. It is just a chunk of metal with a stationary pin in the middle to cast a shadow over a number.

I would say either a water clock or an hourglass would have the most. (each individual grain or molecule if that counts.)

  2. Since the riddle changed...

Simple... Walk out at night (Since I walked in at night)

  3. You caught that, huh? I had hoped I got it fixed quickly enough that it wouldn't be picked up.

For those of you who didn't catch it, I had posted an old riddle asking which time piece has the fewest and the most moving parts. I have posted that riddle before and had accidentally posted it again this morning.

I attempted to fix it immediately. Apparently, I wasn't fast enough.

    Sorry about that.

  4. My explanation was longer than the puzzle. :-)

Anyways, karnov got it right. Walk out at night after the sun has set through the doorway with the lens.

You were also right about the time pieces. A sundial has the least and an hourglass can have the most.
