Water That Cures No Thirst
"My first, tho’ water, cures no thirst,
My next alone has soul,
And when he lives upon my first,
He then is called my whole."
Closest I can come is "seaman"--man alone has a soul, one cannot drink the sea, and a man on the sea is a seaman--but I'm nowhere near sure about that...
