Covered With Wisdom and Wit

Often we are covered with wisdom and wit,
and oft with cloth where the dinner guests sit;
In beauty around you and over your head,
we are countless,
though numbered when bound to be read

  1. Sheets of Paper is about the best I can come up with here... taking lines 2 and 3 to refer to a menu and a library, I guess.

  2. Almost had it, oudeis. Leaves is the answer. Leaves (sheets of paper) in a book, leaves in a table, and leaves in trees.
