Lewis Carrol, Three Statements

What can you conclude from Lewis Carrol's logic puzzle:

(a) All babies are illogical.
(b) Nobody is despised who can manage a crocodile.
(c) Illogical persons are despised.

2 comments:

  1. Babies can't manage crocodiles.

  2. If illogical people are despised (c), and babies are illogical (a), then babies are despised. If you are despised, then you cannot manage a crocodile because if you could both manage a croc and be despised, you'd be contradicting (b). Ergo babies can't manage crocs.
