Word Trivia
While I expect that any one of you could answer this question, I still found it interesting enough to post. What is very unusual about the following words? BOUGH COUGH DOUGH ROUGH THROUGH
Couldn't agree more, Joshua. The powerful words you shared with us here have touched my heart and forever changed my life. I, too, wish to unite mankind, only I've never been able to figure out how. Now I understand that it can only come through spam comments on blogs...
They all have a different pronunciation for the same 4-letter combination.
Mike I was trying to remember why I thought of it. I know it was this past Sunday night, but I think it was while I was reading a book, as opposed to something I saw on TV. I also remember that when I was a kid in school, I had a music teacher whose last name was Hough..pronounced like "rough", but some thought it was pronounced like "through".
Leave your answer or, if you want to post a question of your own, send me an e-mail. Look in the about section to find my e-mail address. If it's new, I'll post it soon.
Please don't leave spam or 'Awesome blog, come visit mine' messages. I'll delete them soon after.

And, if that is what you were going for, "ought" has a sixth sound ("au").
